LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Following her recent medalist performance, California University of Pennsylvania senior Rachel Wilson (Warren, Pa./Warren) was chosen the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Athlete of the Week on Wednesday afternoon.

Wilson earned the individual title and helped the Vulcans claim the tournament title at the Crofton Invitational on Tuesday. She won the two-day event by three strokes after shooting a 17-over 161 (83-78) while in Maryland. Wilson was tied for third overall on Monday before firing a six-over 78 in the final round, which was the lowest score of the entire tournament. The Warren product carded a pair of birdies on the back nine on Tuesday and totaled 17 pars at the event. Cal U captured the invitational title after shooting the lowest score in both rounds.

A 5-foot-10 senior, Wilson has posted a scoring average of 83.2 strokes over six events this campaign. She has been the team’s top finisher twice this year while registering a trio of top-10 finishes. Wilson has received All-PSAC laurels in each of the past two seasons after being selected the 2019 PSAC Freshman of the Year.

Wilson received PSAC Athlete of the Week laurels for the second time this season and the third time in her career.

The Vulcans return to action at the Dr. Edwin Cottrell Invitational on April 4-5 at the Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
