City of Warren Spring Clean-Up Program Set to Begin April 11

WARREN, Pa. – The City of Warren’s annual Spring Clean-up Program is set to begin on April 11.

The program allows city residents to place lawn refuse, leaves, hedge and brush clippings, and tree limbs and branches on their curb for pickup. Items should be placed separately on the curb.

“Lawn refuse must not be mixed with tree limbs and branches but should be placed in containers such as plastic bags or cardboard boxes,” according to an announcement on the city website.

Other general rules for the program include:

  • Leaves are to be piled separately and not mixed with other material.
  • Tree limbs and branches are to be piled separately with all cut ends in the same direction.
  • Stones, brick or concrete, dirt, boards, etc., will not be collected.

“Items to be collected should be placed near the curb or edge of the street pavement, – not within the street itself – and should be set out for collection as close as possible to the appropriate collection day, but no later than 7:00 AM of the day scheduled,” the announcement said.

The schedule for pickup is as follows (the schedule could change due to weather or other unanticipated circumstances):
April 11 – East City Limits to Parker Street
April 12 – Parker Street to Irvine Street
April 13 – Irvine Street to Prospect Street
April 18 – East Third Avenue to Frank Street
April 19 – Frank Street to Connecticut Avenue
April 20 – Connecticut Avenue to Quaker Hill Road
April 21 – Water Street to Hazel Street
April 22 – Hazel Street to West City Limits
April 25 – Entire area south of Allegheny River
