Warren Softball Drops Road Tilt with DuBois

DUBOIS, Pa. – DuBois scored five runs in the sixth inning to pull away for a 9-1 win over Warren.
Alana Stuart had a big day at the plate for Warren (0-2), going 3-for-4 with an RBI double as Warren grabbed an early 1-0 lead in the first inning.

Halle Kuzminski also had two hits for the Dragons.

DuBois took the lead for good in the fourth on Alexis Pfeufer’s RBI single and Haley Reed’s RBI double.

Pasternak hit a solo home run in the fifth and DuBois did all of its damage in the sixth after two outs.

Gabby Gulvas doubles and Stuart struck out Jordan McGranor, but a dropped third strike allowed her to reach. An error, an RBI single from Ava Baronick, and a 2-run double off the bat of Pfeufer made the score 9-1.

Barnock, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI, also got the complete game win, striking out seven, allowing eight hits, and walking three.

Pfeufer went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, while Pasternak was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs, and LynxLender was 2-for-3 with double and two runs scored.

Stuart took the loss, allowing 11 hits, striking out seven, and walking two.
