WARREN, Pa. – A brief thunderstorm packed quite a punch in Warren County on Saturday afternoon.
As of 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, a total of 9,799 customers were without power, with the most heavily impacted areas including Tidioute, Sheffield, Clarendon, Mead Township, and the City of Warren, according to First Energy. The National Weather Service reported that winds could reach up to 70 mph during the storm.
The Warren Electric Cooperative, meanwhile, reported 3,500 members without power as of 3:45 p.m.
The Scanning Warren County Facebook page also showed several limbs down along Route 62 in the Tidioute area.
Warren County remains in a severe thunderstorm watch until 6 p.m.
