Warren County Commissioners Approve Broadband Contract

May 11, 2023

WARREN, Pa. – The Warren County Commissioners approved a contract on Wednesday to help the county’s ongoing effort to improve broadband access throughout the county.

The contract is with CTC Technology and Energy and will allow the county to help identify and address broadband issues.

“Obviously the county has gone through an extensive RPF (Request for Proposal) process and interviewed multiple agencies with good proposals,” Eggleston said. “This agreement will allow us to work on evaluations of projects for grant proposal application purposes and research broadband work within the county. We’re confident CTC has the technical skills to do the job well.”

Commissioner Ben Kafferlin said that this is a project that has been earmarked with American Rescue Plan Act funds.

“This is one of the key ways to bring broadband to rural areas of Warren County, a belief which all of the commissioners share,” Kafferlin said. “CTC will quarterback the whole initiative. It’s a great use of resources in my opinion.”
