Youngsville Wins Again; Dragons Drop Opener; Eisenhower Falls

YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – Nate Lucks fired a complete game 4-hitter as Youngsville blanked Union City, 5-0.

Lucks struck out nine and walked one.

Matt DeSimone drove in a pair of runs for Youngsville, while James Johnson was 1-for-4 with an RBI and Braydon Baker had two hits and scored a run. Talon Mesel was also 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run.

Daithan Kent took the loss for Union City, allowing three unearned runs in 1 ⅓ innings, striking out two and walking one.

GENERAL MCLANE 2, WARREN 0

WARREN, Pa. – Jordan Cannon fired a 4-hit shutout to lead General McLane to a 2-0 win over Warren.

Cannon struck out six and walked two.

GM scored a run in the first inning on a passed ball and in the second inning on an Owen Eisert RBI groundout.

Brady Berdine took the loss for Warren, going five innings and allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits, striking out two and walking five.

ROCKY GROVE 5, EISENHOWER 4

RUSSELL, Pa. – Rocky Grove took a 5-3 lead on a wild pitch in the fifth inning and held on for a 5-4 win over Eisenhower.

Eisenhower got within one, 5-4, after a Griffin Williams RBI in the bottom of the fifth, but was unable to scratch the tying run across.

Eli Wilson got the win, allowing one run in five innings on four hits, striking out three and walking one.

Mason Degnan was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Eisenhower, while Ayden Stiteler was 3-for-4 with a run.

Camron Jakubczak took the loss, allowing four runs in three innings. Kaleb Jakubczak allowed one run in four innings of relief on one hit, striking out six and walking three.
