Gatto cleared 11-1 in the pole vault, breaking the record of 9-6 set by Emily (Perlock) Thomas in 2005. The mark by Gatto was also a Pa Milesplit Elite Performance.

“Special recognition goes out to Laney Gatto for smashing the school record in the pole vault,” said Warren coach Kevin Dustin. “The record was previously held by Emily Thomas at 9’6″ and Laney now holds the record at 11’1″. She worked hard to get to where she is working with Coach Sanford. Big congratulations to Laney.”

Overall, Dustin was pleased with both teams’ efforts.

“We had a great day today with both teams coming away with victories,” Dustin said. “We saw a lot of kids improve upon their performances from a couple weeks ago. We hope to see more of this as we move into the second half of the season with more meets and invitationals.”
