Warren Boys Beat Saegertown

October 19, 2020

SAEGERTOWN, Pa. – The Warren boys overcame an early deficit, and a cold rain, to come away with a 6-1 win at Saegertown Monday.

Zane Anderson and Ian Darling had two goals each to lead the Dragons offense. Wes Kiehl added a goal and two assists in the win.

Saegertown got on the board first as the Panthers got a fortuitous bounce off an attempted clear.

The Dragons answered minutes later as Anderson netted his first from 20 yards out off an assist from Kiehl. Kiehl picked up his second assist when Darling put in a rebound at the 17 minute mark.

Just 2:30 later, Kiehl connected on a long distance shot off an assist from John Page to put Warren in front 3-1 at the half.

Anderson took a corner 14 minutes into the second half and Darling headed it in. Anderson picked up his second goal six minutes later off an assist from Darling. JT Blum closed out the scoring with an Anderson assist.

“The Dragons continued their defensive dominance throughout the match with standout performances by John Page, Jack Darling, Ricky Madril, Ethan Best and Sean Duckett,” Warren assistant coach Chris Darling said.

Alex Ferry earned the win in net.

The Dragons will finish the regular season at Titusville Thursday.
