RUSSELL, Pa. – The International Sports Academy is hosting its third-annual ISA Golf Scramble benefiting local and international youth sports. The event will take place on Saturday, July 2, at Jackson Valley Golf Course.
The top teams with the lowest gross scores will receive their share of $1,000 in cash prizes, and prizes will be given to the net winners. In addition, there will be multiple opportunities to win other great prizes from local businesses.
Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The 4-person scramble will include breakfast and lunch. Golfers can register for $70 each.
The International Sports Academy is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization based in Russell, that partners with local churches all over the world to set up organized sports programs as a means of reaching young people in their regions.
In the poorest areas of the developing nations where ISA works, there are no youth sports facilities, programs, or equipment–not even a public park in which to play. When there’s nothing to do, kids get into trouble, with many children ending up in gangs, kidnapped by human traffickers, or recruited by terrorists. Many more turn to drugs and alcohol. Donations to the ISA keep these kids off the streets, changing the course of their lives, and giving them hope for the future.
Businesses can connect with the ISA’s engaged local audience through sponsorship of the Golf Scramble. Several innovative sponsorship marketing opportunities are available for this tournament, the most unique being the opportunity to have ISA youth workers in Africa film a custom promotional video/commercial thanking your business for its impact on young people overseas. Businesses can also gain exposure and interact with the ISA’s audience by donating gift items such as gift certificates, products, and baskets.
