Warren Tire Center Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Warren County Saturday

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The National Weather Service in State College has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Warren County effective at 1:30 p.m. April 1, 2023.

The warning lasts until 2:45 p.m. Saturday. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 6 p.m. Saturday.

“At 131 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Northwest Harborcreek to Cambridge Springs to near Meadville, moving east at 70 mph,” the NWS said.

Wind gusts of up to 70 mph are expected with this storm.

“Expect considerable tree damage,” the NWS said. “Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms have produced numerous occurrences of wind damage in the form of downed trees and power lines over the past 30 minutes across Northeastern Ohio. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows!”
