WARREN, Pa. – The Passionately Natural Soap Co. held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its 3rd Avenue shop on Thursday, July 20.
After moving to Warren five years ago from Philadelphia, PNSC was primarily online sales and a booth at the Warren Farmer’s Market, until owner Wanda Hughes got word that a storefront was coming available. Now PSNC has settle in at the company’s new location at 2 1/2 E 3rd Avenue.
“We moved up here five years ago and we started with the Farmer’s Market,” Hughes said. “Then White Cane Coffee told us, ‘Hey, we’ve got space here and we’re going to move.’ So (I said), ‘Yeah, why not? Let’s try it.’ And so far so good.”
The soap is all made in-house and each batch takes a month to complete.
“We use a mold to make the shape that we want . . . and it’s 11 soaps per batch,” Hughes said. “Then we cut it. And when we’ve cut it we let them sit for a month. Soap takes a long time.”
While soap is the primary product, Passionately Natural Soap Co. also has sugar scrubs, shave butter, deodorant, candles, and even bug repellent. All natural and all made here.
Passionately Natural’s 3rd Avenue location is open Monday – Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. or online at PNSoapCo.com.
