BOSTON, Mass. – Three local Jamestown Skating Club members participated in the 2023 National Showcase Competition at The Skating Club of Boston from July 31 – Aug. 6.
Ian Montour of Warren, and Clarissa Hren and Elise Eklund of Jamestown each skated singles in their respective levels and performed a number as a trio. The Showcase is more of a theatrical performance for skaters looking to entertain a crowd and is performed on Olympic-level ice.
The Jamestown Skating Club will next perform at “Skate Chautauqua” on its home ice from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. at the Northwest Arena in Jamestown on Aug. 19. The event is free for spectators.
