NORTH EAST, Pa. – Alex Cozzens connected for 27 points as North East won a shootout over Eisenhower, 76-63.
Cozzens scored 26 points as North East (6-4) raced out to a 46-25 halftime advantage.
Maisy Post knocked down a pair of first-half 3’s and finished with 15 points for North East, while Kayla Forsythe scored 10 of her 15 points in the first half.
Eisenhower (4-4) tried its best to rally in the second half, as Clara Steinberg scored 18 of her 20 points in the final 16 minutes.
Lainey Font led Eisenhower with 22 points, including five 3’s, while Steinberg connected on four shots from beyond the arc. Laney Belcher was also in double figures for the Knights with 15 points.
