Do You Support the Statewide School Mask Mandate? – Poll

September 1, 2021

WARREN, Pa. – Amid a recent surge in COVID-19 cases across both the state and the country, the Pennsylvania Department of Health issued a statewide mask mandate for all K-12 schools, public and private, and child care facilities Tuesday, Aug. 31.

During Tuesday’s announcement, Gov. Tom Wolf said the order, which goes into effect at 12:01 a.m. Sept. 7, was “a necessary step to keep our students and teachers safe and in the classroom, which is where they all need to be.”

Warren County School District Superintendent Amy Stewart told yourdailylocal.com that the district was already receiving feedback on the order.

“The masking topic creates a lot of debate,” Stewart said. “There is a great deal of frustration out there right now. We are hearing, primarily, from those who want to keep masking a choice.”

We want to hear from you. Do you support the statewide mandate? Vote in the poll below or send Letters to the Editor to [email protected]*
