Cochranton Rallies for Win Over Eisenhower Baseball

RUSSELL, Pa. – Cochranton scored four runs in the fourth inning and six more in the fifth en route to a 13-6 win over Eisenhower.

A 5-run first inning had given Eisenhower a 5-2 lead heading into the fourth inning. The Cardinals rallied to take the lead in the top half of the inning, but the Knights tied it with a run in the bottom half. Cochranton took the lead for good with the big fifth inning.

Cochranton also took advantage of eight Eisenhower errors. Isaiah Long got the win, going 4 ⅔ innings on four hits and one walk, striking out six and allowing one run.

Camron Jakubczak, Garrett Jensen, and Caleb Barr all drove in runs for Eisenhower, while Cole Chapman was 3-for-4.

Chapman took the loss, allowing 12 runs (one earned) in six innings, striking out five without issuing a walk.

Jack Rynd doubled twice for Cochranton and drove in a pair of runs, part of a three-hit effort, while Ramy Sample was 3-for-3 and Wyatt Barzak doubled and drove in a run.
