YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – Zaylee Cressley scored 15 points to help lead Youngsville to a 43-40 win over Forest Area.
Youngsville (6-12) led 6-4 after the first quarter, 16-12 at halftime and 31-26 after three quarters.
Riley Robinault was also in double figures for Youngsville with 11 points, while Molly Helman added nine.
Amber Guzzi led Forest Area (7-12) with 18 points, while Kaylie Rooke tallied nine points, 10 rebounds and five blocks.
RIDGWAY 60, EISENHOWER 55
RUSSELL, Pa. – Losing for nearly the entire game, Ridgway rallied late to beat homestanding Eisenhower, 60-55.
Eisenhower (7-10) started fast and led 28-22 at halftime thanks to a 17-11 first-quarter advantage. The lead then grew to seven, 45-38, going to the fourth quarter.
But in the fourth quarter, Jenna Kasmierski nailed three 3-pointers and Kristen Ellenberger also scored nine points thanks to three baskets and a 3 of 4 performance at the line to help the Lady Elkers (14-4) rally for the victory.
Ellenberger led a trio of Ridgway players in double digits with 19 points with Kasmierski adding 16 points and Gabby Amacher 11 points.
Kasmierski completed a double-double with 12 rebounds, Ellenberger added six rebounds, and Amacher had six assists.
That offset a monster game from Clara Steinberg, who scored a game-high 35 points.
Steinberg hit seven 3-pointers in the contest, including two in the first quarter when she scored 12 points. She also went deep three times in the third quarter scoring 11 points in that frame
Laney Font added 14 points for the Knights.
