WARREN, Pa. – Five area students have been selected to receive $1,000 scholarships from the Warren General Hospital Auxiliary Board.
Thanks to area community support of the Warren General Hospital Auxiliary Board’s many fundraisers, such as, the Christmas Basket Raffle, book sales, scrub sales and more, the WGH Auxiliary is able to fund Health Care Scholarships with the hope that our scholarship recipients might return in the future to help serve our community in the Healthcare field.
The scholarship committee included Mary Beyer, WGH Auxiliary Board scholarship chairperson, Debbie Gray, WGH volunteer director, Janet Peterson, Beth Ellsworth, and Sue Borland. The Warren General Hospital Auxiliary Board members interviewed applicants and chose five recipients to receive $1,000 scholarships each.
Students receiving the scholarships and their area of concentration are:
- Kennedy Ford: Physician, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA
- Troy Shattuck: Physical Therapy, Slippery Rock University, Slippery Rock, PA
- Christina Morse: Nursing, Venango Tech School of Nursing, Oil City, PA
- Kaitlyn Adama: Dietician/Nutrition, Indiana University, Indiana, PA
- Stephanie Davis: Nursing, Jamestown Community College, Jamestown, NY.
