April 18, 2022

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The National Weather Service in State College has issued a Winter Weather Advisory beginning at Noon on Monday.

The advisory runs until 2 a.m. Tuesday. Snow is expected, with accumulations ranging from one to five inches.

“The valleys will get the least while the ridge tops will get the most snow,” the advisory said.

The NWS advised the heaviest snow will occur during the late afternoon and evening, with snowfall rates up to one inch per hour for brief periods. Slippery road conditions could affect the evening commute.

“The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission remind motorists to adjust speeds based on driving conditions as winter weather impacts will include snow covered roads and limited visibility,” the advisory said.
