WARREN, Pa. – The Warren County Board of Realtors recently presented a check to Woofington Dog Park as the BoR non-profit recipient of the year.
Woofington Dog Park President Kassie Damcott said the funds would be used to install a new sign for the park.
“The donation will help Woofington Dog Park purchase and install a sign that will be placed on the Route 6 side of the park, to help visitors find us,” Damcott said. “We currently use the Warren County Visitors Bureau address to easily identify where the Park is, although our address is a River Road address.”
In addition to the funds donated by the Board of Realtors, Damcott said the park will be one of the organizations included in Warren Gives this year. Funds generated from the county’s annual day of giving, Damcott said, will be used for new items at the park.
“Any additional donations we receive will help us install the fencing for a third, separate, section of the Park, which will be used for training purposes or for a dog who just needs his own space to play,” Damcott said. “We also need to purchase a shed to store maintenance items such as our mower, as well as seasonal items that will need to be put away in the winter months.”
The park has a work bee scheduled at Noon on Sunday, April 24.
“We will be installing new benches, hanging banners, and general yard work to clean up the Park after winter,” Damcott said.
The work bee will be rescheduled for Sunday, May 1 in case of inclement weather.
