STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The National Weather Service in State College has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Warren County beginning at 1 a.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2024.
The advisory runs until 8 a.m. on Monday. Heavy lake effect snow with total accumulations of 4 – 7 inches is expected. Wind gusts as high as 50 mph are possible.
“Expect strong winds and gusts throughout the entire advisory period,” the NWS said. “More intense snow squalls are also possible during the day on Sunday.”
Slippery, snow-covered roads, limited visibility, and debris from strong winds could impact travel Monday.
“The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed all travel restrictions and delay unnecessary travel as significant winter weather conditions will make travel very hazardous,” the advisory said.
