Dragons Win a Pair, Youngsville Splits on Busy Thursday

WARREN, Pa. – Brady Berdine and Konnor Hoffman combined on a 1-hitter as Warren beat Fort LeBoeuf, 5-0 in a game that started on Wednesday and was completed on Thursday due to inclement weather.

Berdine went 2 ⅔ innings on Wednesday, striking out five and walking three. Hoffman came on Thursday and went 4 ⅓ innings, allowing one hit and striking out two without issuing a walk.

Hoffman belted a solo home run for the Dragons, while Aidan Zdarko was 4-for-4 with two RBIs and Berdine 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Eric Dippold also had a hit and a run scored.

Brody Myers took the loss, allowing three runs on three hits in two innings, striking out four and walking three.

WARREN 3, SENECA 1

WARREN, Pa. – Aidan Zdarko fired a complete game 3-hitter to help Warren to a 3-1 win over Seneca.

Zdarko allowed one unearned run, struck out six and walked one.

Zdarko, Brady Berdine and Coln Zdarko drove in one run each for the Dragons.

Lucas Rupp was 1-for-3 with an RBI for Seneca. Jared Gladitz took the loss, allowing two runs on four hits in four innings, striking out two and walking three.

YOUNGSVILLE 15, OSWAYO VALLEY 0, 4 innings

YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – Matt DeSimone had two doubles and two RBIs to help power Youngsville to a 15-0 win in four innings over Oswayo Valley.

Nate Lucks 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for the Eagles, who scored nine runs in the second inning, while Lane Buccardo and David Manning drove in two runs each and James Johnson one.

Johnson got the win, allowing just one hit in his four innings of work, striking out five and walking two.

Ridge Mesler had OV’s lone hit. Nik Bonney took the loss, allowing 10 runs on nine hits in two innings, striking out one and walking two.

MAPLEWOOD 6, YOUNGSVILLE 2

YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – In a game that started on Wednesday and finished on Thursday due to weather, Maplewood scored four runs in the fifth inning in a 6-2 win over Youngsville.

Chase Koelle drove in a pair of runs for Maplewood, while Kyle Jordan and Levi Willison had two hits and an RBI each.

Koelle got the win, allowing two runs on five hits in four innings, striking out three and walking five.

Matt DeSimone was 3-for-4 for Youngsville, while David Manning drove in a run.

Wyatt Dalrymple took the loss, allowing four runs (three earned) in four innings on six hits, striking out three without issuing a walk.
