BREAKING: Warren Girls Basketball Wins First Ever PIAA Tournament Game

WARREN, Pa. – With a 71-64 overtime victory over Elizabeth Forward on Saturday, the Warren girls basketball team picked up its first PIAA Tournament win in program history.

An 11-1 run to start overtime put Warren in control, and the Dragons were able to maintain control through the frame to advance to the Class 4A PIAA Sweet 16.

The Lady Dragons trailed by eight, 52-44, with 5:35 to play in regulation. Warren, which shot 5-11 from the free throw line in the first half, got key free throws from Halle Kuzminski (4-4), Meea Irwin (2-2), and Peyton Wotorson (2-2) down the stretch to send the game to overtime.
