Warren City Leaf Pick-Up Begins Oct. 19

October 16, 2020

WARREN, Pa. – The City of Warren will begin its fall leaf pick-up Monday, Oct. 19.

The City Department of Public Works will be collecting leaves daily throughout the city, concentrating on areas with most need.

Residents may either bag their leaves, or pile them along the curb.

“Residents are reminded that the piled leaves will be picked up by the leaf vacuum machines, while the bagged leaves will be collected by a separate truck,” the city posted to its website. “Leaves should be placed on the lawn/curb area and not in the street.

Only leaves are to be placed out for pick-up, not limbs or other yard waste.

The leaf pick-up will last for approximately one month, or until the snow flies.

“It usually goes for about a month,” City Manager Nancy Freenock said. “Unfortunately, once the snow comes, it’s over.”
