Setter Kadence Steffan had 23 set assists and five digs for Sheffield, while Emily Foster had six kills and Syrena Antonuccio six aces.

“We were able to get everyone some playing time tonight and pleased to have all of our starters back as well,” said Sheffield coach Melissa Lemay. “Communication was better tonight as was our serve/receive passing.”

Sheffield jumped out to sizeable leads in each set, withstanding a late Youngsville surge in the third to earn the sweep.

“We were a little shaky from the service line tonight, but we were trying to be a little more aggressive, so there are bound to be a few more errors,” Lemay said.

Olivia Darling had four kills, six digs, and three blocks for Youngsville, while Riley Robinault had six digs and six blocks.

Sheffield was also a winner in the JV contest, 25-16, 25-18. Peyton Wotorson had 10 assists, while Emma Roell and Madi Connolly both had six kills and Emily Davidson five digs for Sheffield.
