FOXBURG, Pa. – Sheffield volleyball traveled to A-C Valley and dropped a 3-0 decision on Saturday, 25-19, 25-10, 25-12.

Lexi Goldthwaite had 10 kills for the Wolverines, while Kadence Steffan had 15 assists and Peyton Wotorson seven digs.

Sheffield coach Melissa Lemay noted that her squad is dealing with some injuries right now.

“They played together and played well in set one,” Lemay said of her team. “Then the communication broke down in set two, allowing A-C Valley to take control with runs of 4-5 points at a time.

“We just couldn’t seem to retain our composure. In set three we had another player banged up. We were not able to put anything substantial together. I’m hoping some rest over the weekend will allow people to heal up so we can prepare for Johnsonburg next week.”

The Wolverines will battle Johnsonburg on the road on Tuesday.
