Warren Earns Home Sweep Over Harbor Creek

WARREN, Pa. – Warren ended a strong week of non-region play with a sweep over visiting Harbor Creek on Saturday.

The Dragons’ balanced offense was at it again with four players recording at least five kills in a 25-17, 25-21, and 25-11 win over the Huskies.

“(We had a) good non-region win to cap off a solid week of volleyball and prepare us for Region 5 play next week,” Warren coach Mike Dolan said.

Kylie Fehlman led the way with 10 kills and four blocks. Alexia Bowers had nine kills, Maddy Jones had six kills and six digs, and Carly Beers had seven digs and two aces.

Summer Lucks had 18 digs, while Lindsay Madigan had five kills, six digs, three aces, and 24 assists.

Warren also got contributions off the bench as Kirsten Johnson had three kills and an ace, Maddie Nosel had a kill and a dig, Lilly Newton had two kills and a block, and Sophie Walker served a pair of aces.

“We got a nice spark from our players coming off the bench today,” Dolan said.

Warren will play a pair of Region 5 games next week as the Dragons host Grove City on Monday and travel to Hickory on Thursday.

Harbor Creek won the junior varsity match 25-21, 21-25, and 15-5.

Newton had 5 kills and 5 blocks, Nosel had 3 kills, 4 digs, and a block, and Walker had 8 digs, an assist, and an ace.

Delaney Wright had 2 kills, 3 digs, and 8 assists, Elissa Errett had 4 assists, Lily Walker had 2 digs, a kill, and an ace, and Lauren Fajbik had 2 kills and a dig. Sophia Fromknecht had a kill and a dig, Lauren Shattuck had an ace and a dig, Allie Lauffenburger had a kill, Tori Solberg had a block, and Emma Gray had a dig.
