September 26, 2023

SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Sheffield and Johnsonburg traded set wins before the Wolverines won the final two sets to put the match away with a 3-1 (25-11, 19-25, 25-16, 25-13) win over the Ramettes.

Rewatch the match:

Sheffield rolled to a 25-11 first set win, but the roles reversed in the second set as Johnsonburg was up by as many as 10 at points. The Wolverines climbed back to within two, but the Ramettes put the set away.

“We needed to be humbled for a second and they humbled us, we let it get away from us,” Sheffield’s Peyton Wotorson said in her Cole Orthodontic Associates postgame interview. “We didn’t like losing that one, we wanted to sweep it.”
