Royals Stymie Dragons

ERIE – Erie scored three runs in the first and fifth innings on its way to an 8-3 win over Warren.

The Royals answered the Dragons’ run in the top of the first with three in the home half. Chris Ramos came home on an error and Dominic Fracassi and Mason Kindle hit RBI singles to give Erie the lead.

Erie tacked on a pair in the third thanks to Josue Rosario stealing home and Eli Nicklas’ RBI single.

A single and two walks loaded the bases for Kindle in the fifth. He hit a 1-run single to left. Two outs later, Antonio Colao drew a bases-loaded walk and Manny Rosario scored on a wild pitch during the next at-bat for the Royals’ final run.

Owen Blum got the Dragons on the board with an RBI single in the first. Blum hit another RBI single in the seventh as did Aidan Zdarko.

Blum and Zdarko each had two hits. Blum had two RBIs and Zdarko one. Konnor Hoffman had a hit and scored twice.

Archie Teconchuk took the loss allowing seven runs, three earned, on five hits with three walks and five strikeouts in four innings.

Kindle had two hits and two RBIs for the Royals. Josue Rosario and Fracassi each scored twice.

Ramos got the win allowing one earned run on two hits with five walks and seven strikeouts in five innings.
