December 30, 2023

CORRY, Pa. – Kamdyn Moon scored eight of his 18 points in overtime as Corry outlasted Eisenhower 74-66 to win the Corry Christmas Tournament title.

With Eisenhower leading 60-59, Corry’s Rylan Smith converted a 3-point play with 10 seconds left in regulation to give the Beavers (7-2) a 62-60 lead. This came after Corry led 59-56, but back-to-back steals by the Knights (7-2) led to buckets by Kris Bunk and Maysen Wonderling, the latter of which came with 25 seconds left to put Eisenhower up, 60-59.

Trailing 62-60, Eisenhower’s Kyler Black made a layup just before time expired to tie the game and send it to overtime at 62-all.

In addition to Moon’s big shots in overtime, Smith had a bucket and Karson Chamberlain knocked down a pair of free throws.

Markus Lambert led Corry with 27 points, 20 of which came in the first half to stake Corry to a 37-27 lead. Smith, meanwhile, had 21 points.

Eisenhower rallied, outscoring Corry 16-11 in the third quarter and 19-14 in the fourth quarter.

Casey Seymour led Eisenhower with 20 points, while Black had 18, 16 of which came in the second half and overtime. Bunk finished with 12 points and Austin Hanson 11 for Ike.
