George Hebner

December 19, 2020

George L Hebner, 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 16th surrounded by his family. George/Geo/George with a J/Georgie (and many more loving nicknames) was full of life and always had a smile on his face – even after the time he deep fried a turkey in kerosene.

He had a contagious laugh, was full of hilarious one liners, and loved his family and friends with all he had. He owned and operated Hebner’s Auto Repair for 45 years where he hosted many gatherings. He was so proud of his shop, his gardening abilities (his beloved plastic flowers and leaf blowers), his slip and slides, and above all, his kids and grandchildren.

Geo was a member of Sugar Grove Amvets Post 50, Sugar Grove American Legion, Youngsville American Legion, Busti Men’s Club, and most importantly the Sugar Grove morning men’s coffee club. He was a local legend that we hoped would live forever, and will be greatly missed and remembered fondly by all.

George is survived by his loving wife Anne Hebner, children Jerry (Crystal) Hebner, Christina (Steve) Briggs, Shelby (Brandon) Bilskie, and Ryan  Hebner.  Grand children Tyler and Nathan Hebner, Samantha, Conner, Carter, and Cameron Briggs, Sawyer and Graham Bilskie, and Camden Hebner. Sisters Marion (Bill) Paquin, Dorothy Mead, Catherine Cressley, his entire Carlson family, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends that he considered family.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Jennie and Herman Hebner, father in law Harland Brown, brothers Herman Jr, Donald, Dick, Willard and Virgil Hebner and sister Bonnie Dell.
