Fort LeBoeuf Rallies for Win Over Lady Dragons

WARREN, Pa. – Fort LeBoeuf scored 11 runs over the final three innings, including five in the seventh, to rally for a 14-7 win at Warren on Tuesday.

Warren led 7-3 through four innings, but Kadence Bailey’s 2-run double in the fifth cut the deficit to one. Kendall Stull hit the first of her two home runs, a 2-run shot, in the sixth to give Fort LeBoeuf its first lead of the game.

With two runs already in, Stull hit a solo home run to extend the Bison lead to 12-7 in the seventh. After another runner scored on a passed ball, Morgan Gorzynski hit an RBI single to close out the scoring.

Alanna Warrior put Warren in front early with a 2-run single in the first. Emma Gray stole home later in the inning to push the lead to 3-0.

A passed ball allowed a pair of runs to score as Fort LeBoeuf trimmed the deficit to 3-2 in the third.

The Dragons answered with another 3-spot in the bottom of the inning.

Miken Beers singled in Halle Kuzminski with two away in the frame. Gray scored on a passed ball, and Lillian Devore singled in Beers to make it 6-2.

Each team scored once in the fourth. Ryan Shields stole home for the Bison run, while Alexis Hoffman had an RBI single for the Dragons.

Beers was the only Warren player with multiple hits. She also scored a run and drove in another. Kuzminski and Gray each scored twice, while Warrior had two RBI.

Alana Stuart gave up 14 runs, 12 earned, on 13 hits with 10 walks and 10 strikeouts.

Shields and Stull each had three hits for the Bison. Shields doubled, scored twice, and drove in a run. With the two homers, Stull scored three runs and drove in three. Bailey doubled, scored a run, and had two RBI.

Kiernan Skelton started and got the win in the circle. She allowed seven runs, four earned, on seven hits with four walks and seven strikeouts. Stull pitched two scoreless innings of relief. She gave up one hit, walked none, and struck out two.
