HERMITAGE, Pa. – Warren County high school sports fans looking to take in District 10 playoff action this week might want to set up camp outside Titusville’s Carter Field.
Eisenhower’s girls’ soccer (possibly twice) and football and Warren’s boys’ and girls’ soccer teams will all be competing at Carter Field this week as District 10 announced its postseason brackets. The District 10 Cross Country Championships will also be held in Titusville (Saturday, Oct. 30, beginning at 9:30 a.m.).
Warren girls’ volleyball heads to Cochranton, while Warren football knows it will get a rematch with General McLane on Nov. 6 with the time and location to be determined.
The Warren/GM game isn’t the only rematch (the Lancers topped the Dragons in a thriller at General McLane on Oct. 1) on the playoff schedule.
Eisenhower football takes on Saegertown (Friday, Oct. 29, 7 p.m.) in a rematch from the season-opener, a Knights shutout victory.
The Lady Knights get a quarterfinal rematch with Cambridge Springs (Tuesday, Oct. 26, 5:30 p.m.). The Blue Devils won the first meeting, 2-0, on Sept. 25.
Warren’s girls’ soccer team will play in the D10 championship (Thursday, Oct. 28, 7:30 p.m.) for the fourth straight year, and for the third straight time against Meadville. The Lady Dragons have won each of the previous two championship games and four straight against the Bulldogs.
Warren volleyball will look to pick up its third win over Meadville (Thursday, Oct. 28, 6 p.m. at Cochranton High School) this season. The Dragons swept the Bulldogs in both regular-season contests.
The only Warren County team not facing a 2021 regular-season opponent in its playoff opener is Warren boys’ soccer. The Dragons have a semifinal match against Harbor Creek (Thursday, Oct. 28, 5:30 p.m.). The Huskies are no stranger, however. The last time these two teams met was a 3-0 Warren win on Sept. 28, 2019.
