Warren Falls at State-Ranked Corry

CORRY, Pa. – Warren volleyball closed out the regular season with a tough loss at state-ranked Corry on Saturday.

The No. 10 Beavers held off the Dragons in extra points in the first set and won two straight after losing the second to come away with the 3-1 (26-24, 19-25, 25-22 and 25-11) victory.

The loss snapped a 5-match winning streak for Warren, that included region-title clinching wins over Grove City and Conneaut.

Seniors Katie Madigan and Halee Mineweaser were stellar again. Madigan finished with 15 kills and 18 digs, while Mineweaser had seven digs and 27 assists.

Carly Beers had eight kills and Ellee Irwin added six kills. Kylie Fehlman had five kills and three blocks while Summer Lucks had 13 digs and three aces.

Corry won the junior varsity match 25-17 and 25-20

Gabby Pritzl had four kills and three aces and Alyssa Farr had four assists, two digs and an ace.
