Eisenhower Softball Powers Past Youngsville

YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – Eisenhower had 17 hits and took advantage of 10 Youngsville errors in a 14-0 win.
The top of Eisenhower’s lineup combined for 10 hits, as Payton Frank was 4-for-5 with two runs, Sam Childs was 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run and Emilie Jones was 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs.

Also for the Lady Knights, Julia Gesing was 3-for-4 with three RBIs, Tracy Jakubczak drove in two runs and Lily Smyth was 1-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs.

Childs got the complete game shutout, scattering seven hits, striking out eight, and walking four.

Alyssa Gentz had Kam Swearingin had two hits each for Youngsville.

Swearingin took the loss, allowing five earned runs on 17 hits in 6 ⅔ innings, striking out four.
