Union City No-Hits Eisenhower; Youngsville Falls at Cambridge Springs

UNION CITY, Pa. – Luke Racop needed just 78 pitches to no-hit Eisenhower on Monday, leading Union City to a 6-0 win.

Racop threw 50 of his 78 pitches for strikes, struck out nine, and walked three.

Desmond Pieper was 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI for the Bears, while Matthew Bennett also drove in a run. The Bears also took advantage of a trio of Eisenhower errors.

Camron Jakubczak took the loss, allowing five runs (one earned) in 4 ⅔ innings on seven hits, striking out four.

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS, Pa. – Tristan Mazzadra drove in four runs as Cambridge Springs earned an 11-1, 5-inning win over Youngsville.

Brett Kania went five strong innings to get the win, allowing one run on four hits, striking out four, and walking six as the Blue Devils beat the Eagles for the second time this season.

Preston Gorton was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs for Cambridge Springs, while Bradyn Field was 1-for-2 with an RBI, walk and two runs and Owen Riley was 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Matt DeSimone was 2-for-3 with a run for Youngsville, while Nate Lucks had an RBI double and also walked twice.

Lucks took the loss, allowing three runs in the first inning (all unearned) on four hits and one walk.
