Dragons, Knights Drop Baseball Decisions

WARREN, Pa. – Rocco Tartaglione had two hits and drove in a run and Meadville took advantage of six Warren errors in a 6-4 win.

Meadville led 3-1 going to sixth, scoring three runs in the top of the inning to go up 6-1. Warren responded with three runs in the bottom of the inning to get within two, 6-4, but was unable to complete the comeback.

Aidan Kliest was 4-for-4 with two runs for the Bulldogs, while Bradyn Miller was 1-for-4 with an RBI.

AJ Feleppa got the win, allowing three runs (two earned) in 5 ⅓ innings on three hits, striking out nine.

Eric Dippold hit a 2-run home run in the sixth inning for Warren, while Konnor Hoffman and Carter Cochran both doubled and scored a run.

Brady Berdine took the loss, going five innings and allowing three runs (two earned), striking out 10 and scattering seven hits without issuing a walk.

IROQUOIS 17, EISENHOWER 13

RUSSELL, Pa. – Iroquois scored in every inning, including five in the second and four more runs in the third of a 17-13 win over Eisenhower.

Iroquois had 17 hits to Eisenhower’s 12 – all singles.

Ethan Alderson was 4-for-4 for Iroquois with three RBIs and four runs, while Hunter Alderson was 4-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs, Reilly Brown 1-for-5 with two RBIs, Gavin Lewis 2-for-5 with two RBIs and Ben Moffett 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Brown got the win, allowing nine earned runs in 4 ⅔ innings, striking out seven.

Mason Degnan was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Eisenhower, Camron Jakubczak and Ayden Stiteler had two RBIs each.

SOFTBALL

IROQUOIS 13, EISENHOWER 4

RUSSELL, Pa. – Karina Reichard had three RBIs, two hits and two runs to help power Iroquois to a 13-4 win over Eisenhower.

Iroquois had 18 hits in the win, as Phoenix Thomas was 4-for-5 with two RBIs, Riann Donoghue 4-for-5 with an RBI, Baelyn Randolph 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Fiona Yelkovich 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Thomas got the win, allowing four runs (three earned) in seven innings on six hits while striking out 14.

Julia Gesing had a double and an RBI for Eisenhower, while Payton Frank had a pair of hits and scored a run.

Samantha Childs took the loss, allowing 13 runs (12 earned) and striking out seven.
