SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. – Youngsville scored six runs in the sixth inning, rallying from a 3-2 deficit for a 10-3 win over Rocky Grove.
Matt DeSimone put the finishing touches on the sixth inning, belting a 3-run home run.
Wyatt Dalrymple and Ian Mancuso had two hits and an RBI each, while Ethan Senz was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a run and Talon Mesel was 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run.
DeSimone was on the mound, allowing three runs on four hits in 5 ⅓ innings, striking out six and walking five. James Johnson tossed 1 ⅔ scoreless innings of relief with a pair of strikeouts.
Logan Patterson and Logan Gavin each had an RBI for Rocky Grove. Haydon Bevier took the loss, allowing four runs (three earned) in five-plus innings on three hits, striking out one and walking five.
