Commissioners Receive Bids for County Engineer

April 12, 2022

WARREN, Pa. – The Warren County Commissioners received bids for the county engineer during Monday’s work season.

The bids were opened by Commissioner Jeff Eggleston, with Commissioners Ben Kafferlin and Tricia Durbin absent from Monday’s session.

In total, seven different bids were received.

“These aren’t bids, per se,” Eggleston said. “We’ll take these and review the rates and qualifications and make a determination of who we’ll select.”

Eggleston expressed interest in possibly making a determination by Wednesday’s regular meeting, but also noted that it would be fine to push the decision back two weeks so that Durbin and Kafferlin could review them as well.

There was one other bid received, and that was for the basement and hallway carpeting at the courthouse. Youngsville Hardware was the lone bidder, coming in at $21,816.
