April 6, 2022

CLARENDON, Pa. – Chapman State Park will be holding a pair of Eagle Watch events on Saturday, April 9 and Friday, April 15.

Park Education Specialist Jen Moore and special guest Bill Vargo will take participants on an approximately 2-mile round trip to locate, view, and photograph the national bird of the United States, the bald eagle.

“This popular program will feature a presentation and opportunities to view America’s national symbol, among various other birds, and their nests,” the Park said on its website.

The hike will primarily be over flat terrain. Participants are asked to bring a camera, binoculars, and/or a spotting scope. The event is free and is recommended for those age 9 and older.

Pre-registration is required. Registration closes on April 6.
