Blue Star Mothers Deliver Supplies to Walter Reed Medical; Lay Wreath at Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

October 6, 2021

WASHINGTON – Blue Star Mothers of Kinzua PA 203 joined together with a New York chapter to deliver supplies to Walter Reed Medical Center on Oct. 1.

The Blue Star Mothers of Kinzua purchased $500 worth of supplies and along with the Blue Star Mothers of Lake Erie NY 4 and the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary Post 726 delivered a total of approximately $1,100 worth of supplies to Walter Reed Medical Center.

Because of the number of volunteers in the group, they were unable to go directly to Walter Reed and had to deliver the supplies to the Red Cross location for Walter Reed.

“Thank you to everyone who continues to support our mission,” a Blue Star Mothers of Kinzua spokesperson said. “We couldn’t do what we do without all your help throughout the year. Please continue to keep our military and their families in your daily prayers.”

The group also had a pair of bow wreaths made and members were given the honor of laying the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
