Youngsville Track Splits with Union City

YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – The Youngsville track and field team split with visiting Union City on Tuesday.

The Lady Eagles narrowly topped the Lady Bears, 72-69, while the Union City boys edged Youngsville, 74-67.

Mia Rafalski was a triple winner for the Lady Eagles, as she took first in the triple (23’9.5″) and high jumps (4’2″) as well as the shot put (26’11”).

Cassidy Britton took first in both the distance races with a time of 6:19 in the 1600 and 14:27 in the 3200. Alexa Reider won the long jump (12’2.5″) and Andrea Curtin took first in the 300 hurdles (59.1).

In boys’ action, Blake Myers swept the jumps. He won the high jump (5’6″), long jump (18’5.75″) and triple jump (33’6.25″). Brandon Sutton took first in the shot put (33’1.5″)

On the track, the Eagles showed out in the sprints as Talon Mesel won the 100 (11.9), Ethan Senz took first in the 200 (26.2), and Koby Hendrickson won the 110 hurdles (17.74). Those three combined with Dawson Burt to take first in the 4×100 relay (50.1).
