WARREN, Pa. – Defense ruled the day as the Mud Vipers pitched a shutout to knock off the last remaining undefeated team and the Twisters won a defensive slugfest to take the top spot in the varsity division of the Warren County Youth Football League.
MUD VIPERS 16, TRASH PANDAS 0
Cameron Lindell had a touchdown and a 2-point conversion to help lead the Mud Vipers to a 16-0 win over the Trash Pandas.
Blake Peterson also had a touchdown and Brody Connolly a conversion in the win.
TWISTERS 6, POST SQUIRRELS 0
Cameron Hagg’s touchdown was the lone score of the game as the Twisters blanked the Post Squirrels, 6-0.
The win gave the Twisters sole possession of first place in the Varsity division, a half-game ahead of the Orange Carrots and Green Hawks.
GREEN HAWKS 14, ORANGE CARROTS 8
Ayden Corbett scored and added a conversion as the Green Hawks topped the Orange Carrots, 14-8.
Justin Krall also had a touchdown in the win.
Jayden Richards had a TD and Trey Retterer added the 2-point conversion for the Orange Carrots.
GREEN DESTROYERS 26, BLUE DEVILS 6
Timothy Cope had three touchdowns to lead the Green Destroyers to a 26-6 win over the Blue Devils.
Jaret Lang added a touchdown and Isaac Bleech a conversion in the victory.
John Nunez had the Blue Devils’ TD.
