WCYBSA Ground Zero Stump Grinding Notches Minors Win over Warren Overhead Door; Calvert-Pearson Notches Juniors Victory

RUSSELL, Pa. – Ground Zero Stump Grinding earned a hard-fought win over Warren Overhead Door in WCBYSA boys’ minors action.

Jaret Lang was the starting pitcher for Ground Zero and had four strikeouts. Trae Cradduck and Matt Shippee finished the pitching for Ground Zero with two strikeouts and four strikeouts, respectively. Shippee also had a double with two RBIs.

Pitchers for Warren Overhead were Caleb Fralick, Clay Cummings, and Archer Knaus. Jared Tyler had two hits and scored two runs in the losing effort.

Calvert-Pearson Insurance Group got a 17-16 win over Stearns Super Service in boys’ juniors action.

Chris Orth was the winning pitcher.

For Calvert, they scored seven runs in the bottom of the sixth to win, capped by Brady Shene’s walk-off single to score Seth Brown. Brady Chase, Orth, Shene and Drake Lawson all scored three times.

For Stearns, Wyatt Stearns and Dylan Depasquale both had base hits, while Conner Gorton, Noah Bleech, and Hayden Marino scored three runs each.

McKissock and Pinegrove Auto Sales tied 8-8 in boys’ minors action.

For Pinegrove, Degan Peterson went 3-for-3 with a double, and Jackson Warner also doubled.

Waylon Holden led on the mound for Mckissock raking up five strikeouts. He was helped out later by Conner Rockwell and Cadden Grinnell.
