WARREN, Pa. – Tuesday Cornerstone Lounge and JC Warren Real Estate battled through the mud, rain, and cold to complete four innings of softball in girls’ minors action, with Cornerstone notching a 15-5 win.
Bristol Holden and Taylor Swanson pitched two innings each with Holden striking out five batters and Swanson six batters. For Cornerstone Lounge Leah Sudul, Taylor Swanson, Cailee Williams and Bristol Holden each hit singles with Williams and Holden each driving in runs.

Warren Moose 11, American Legion Post 658 3
For the Moose, Ty Bryan struck out 17 batters in a row and also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double. Reed Fitzgerald was 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and Hunter Ingerson also had a hit.
Asher Staton and Colton Haynes were on the mound for the Legion and Laine Jackson threw a runner out at third.

Ground Zero Stump Grinding 17, Pine Grove Auto Sales 8
Degan Peterson was 2-for-2 and turned a pair of double plays for Pine Grove, while Matt Shippee had eight strikeouts and Mikah Benton doubled for Pine Grove.

Keegan Weissinger was 4-for-4 with two doubles, while Luke Baxter had two hits as well as one hit each from Jaret Lang, Wesley Hornstrom, and Niel Soltis. Jaret Lang started on the mound and pitched three innings, striking out nine. Keegan Weissinger pitched the fourth and struck out all three batters and Mason Gentz threw a perfect fifth.
Cadden Grinnell had a nice hit to left for a double for Team McKissok.

American Legion Post 658 knocked off JC Real Estate in Boys’ Minors action.
For Post 658, Benny Matson pitched four innings with seven strikeouts. Matson two hits and RJ Frederick three hits and five RBI.
For JC Real Estate, James Clifford Alexander pitched four strong innings. Lauson Hoisington and James Clifford Alexander had RBI singles.
