Warren, PA – In an effort to help push Warren County’s COVID vaccination total above 50 percent, the WarrenVAX Team announced the launch of the GrandVAX Giveaway, a series of three $1,000 prize drawings for newly vaccinated county residents.
From now through April 30, county residents who receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, or their second dose as part of a two-dose regimen, can go to warrenvax.com to register for the prize drawings. The drawings will be held on March 7, April 14 and May 2.
“The contest’s goal is to expand vaccination, particularly to younger citizens,” WarrenVAX said in a release. “Since the beginning of the WarrenVAX project in mid-December, the county has increased full vaccination by 5 percent overall from 42 to 47 percent. The increase is a positive development and a sign that promotions are helping, but the number needs to be higher still.”
Those wishing to register for the drawings will have to fill out the online form and upload a picture of their vaccination card. Prize winners must be fully vaccinated before they can collect the $1,000.
WarrenVAX is a collaboration between the Warren County Development Association, Warren General Hospital, and a host of community leaders. The team is also looking for partners to conduct satellite vaccination clinics in Tidioute, Sheffield, and other outlying areas.
