WATERFORD, Pa. – Warren was part of a loaded field at the Fort LeBoeuf volleyball tournament on Saturday, and the Dragons emerged as the champions after defeating Meadville in the tournament finals, 2-1 (12-15, 15-11, 15-9).
During morning pool play, Warren topped Greenville, 25-14, Mercyhurst Prep, 25-23, and General McLane, 25-16. The Dragons split with all three of their afternoon pool play opponents Altoona (25-16, 23-20), Meadville (25-21, 21-25), and Corry (23-25, 25-18).
Warren defeated Saegertown, 25-20, in the bracket quarterfinals. The Dragons then topped North East (15-8/9, 13-15, 15-14) in the semifinals before downing Meadville in the championship match.
