Back on Top: Ritchie, Loomis, Petrarca Claim Jackson Valley Club Championship Titles

WARREN, Pa. – There were some familiar names atop the leaderboards at the conclusion of the Jackson Valley Golf Course Club Championships on Sunday.

Rob Ritchie won his 10th Club Championship, Chet Loomis claimed the Senior Club Championship for the fourth time, and Kristen Petrarca won her second straight Ladies Club Championship.

Ritchie won with a two-day total of 158. After a first-round 81, Ritchie was one of only two people to break 80 on the second day of the tournament to claim the championship over runner-up, Skete Williams, by one stroke.

In the Senior Division, Loomis claimed his championship with a two-day total of 150. Loomis held a 3-stroke lead after a first round of 71, and was able to extend his lead by one stroke with a second round 79, winning the championship. The runner-up was Mark Silvis who had a two-day total of 154 and the lowest second round score of 75.

This is only the second time in six years that Jackson Valley has hosted a Ladies Club Championship, and Petrarca was able to claim the title again with a two-day total of 88-85-173 (13 shots better than her winning score from the previous year). Runner-up Mary Beth Whiting had a two-day total of 109-111- 220

During the play of Saturday’s round, Jordan Baker scored his first-ever hole-in-one on the par 3 6th at Jackson Valley. Baker scored the hole-in-one with a perfectly struck 5-iron from 221 yards. Witnesses were Rob Ritchie and Casey Moyer.
