WARREN, Pa. – Warren had a balanced offensive attack as the Dragons defeated visiting Fort LeBoeuf 25-12, 25-11, and 25-16 on Tuesday.

Four players had at least five kills for the Dragons who moved to 2-0 to start the season.

“I thought our offense looked good, we were able to get a lot of good swings from all over the court,” Warren coach Mike Dolan said.

Alexia Bowers led the attack with 9 kills, 4 aces, and 3 digs. Carly Beers had 7 kills and 7 digs, Maddy Jones had 6 kills, 4 aces, and 3 digs, and Kylie Fehlman had 5 kills and 5 blocks.

Lindsay Madigan ran the offense with 21 assists and added 6 digs. Summer Lucks had 10 digs and Kirsten Johnson had 3 aces, 1 block, and 4 digs.

“Lindsay did a great job keeping everyone involved, and our outsides Maddy Jones and Alexia Bowers did a great job finishing,” Dolan said. “Kylie Fehlman was a force at the net. Summer Lucks keeps getting better and better at patrolling the back row and making defensive plays.”

Warren will be right back on the court tomorrow when the Dragons welcome perennial District 10 contender Corry to the Joseph A. Massa Gymnasium.

“Overall, we did a nice job with serve and pass which will be key going forward, including tomorrow’s game against Corry,” Dolan said.

Fort LeBoeuf won the junior varsity match 25-21, 16-25, and 15-5.

Sophie Walker had 14 digs, Lauren Fajbik 4 kills, and Lilly Newton 2 kills and 2 blocks. Sophia Fromknecht had 1 kill, and Delaney Wright added 4 assists.
