Warren Tire Center Wind Chill Advisory Issued for Warren, McKean Counties Tuesday

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The National Weather Service in State College has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for Warren and McKean Counties beginning at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16.

The advisory runs until 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17.

“The cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes,” the NWS said.

The NWS advised people to prepare for the dangerous cold.

“Dress in layers and cover exposed skin,” the advisory said. “Wear a hat and gloves. Frostbite and hypothermia can occur within minutes if precautions are not taken.”

Wind chills as low as 20 below zero are expected.
