WARREN, Pa. – After the Warren County School District voted to terminate the Sheffield/Abraxas football Co-Op so Sheffield students could compete at Warren for the 2020 season only, there were still several hurdles that needed to be cleared.
They now have been, paving the way for Sheffield players to continue at Warren this season should they so choose.
On Wednesday, the proposal was approved by the PIAA, but still needed to be OK’d by District 10 and District 9.
The proposal was approved by both districts at their respective meetings Thursday morning.
The Wolverines played their Week 1 game against Keystone, but last week the WCSD made the announcement that they would be canceling the remainder of the season, sighting low numbers.
